XDD So I'm reading through The Art of War for Writers (James Scott Bell) and gaaah. At the moment it's giving advice (but I think that's the style of the whole book), stuff which isn't really connected with each other, apart from being about writing, and they're really easy to read! Still making my way through The Fire in Fiction. At the end of each chapter, there's little exercises you can do. The chapter I'm on is about making the reader believe in the impossible.

Reading The Fire in Fiction right now, and the author's talking about antagonists in the chapter I'm on. He calls the cardboard cutout antagonist the Mwoo-ha-ha villain and whenever he uses that, I keep getting this playing out in my head. XDD; He also uses the phrase a lot.

So I'm reading Description and Setting by Ron Rozelle now, and I've just finished the first chapter. It's all about setting the scene for the reader, so that they know where the book's set, using the senses etc. as soon as they open to the first page.
